Baking is one art which many people perceive to be a recent concept. But, the fact of the matter is that baking is one profession that is very old and has been in vogue since the pre biblical times. Baking in the earlier times was done by grinding together grains to form a paste which was heated and finally form a bread. This bread was them mixed with butter, honey, and nuts. The ultimate result was what we can call primitive cakes. As time advanced, cake making went through different stages. With the passage of time, man gathered more control over heat.
